VW Engine Conversion
Storm Developments continue to push the boundaries of engine conversion to bring you the latest technology for your faithful car. We have a history of providing first rate engine conversions with top specification kit at realistic prices.
This section of the website will be showcasing the engine conversions we are currently offering. Time permitting we will be adding examples of our past work.
Our current favoured engine conversions for VW's are as follows:
6 Cylinder - R32 or 4-Motion.
The 24 valve VR6 engines are quite simply excellent engineering free from the design flaws that held previous VR6 engine's back. Smooth, quiet, powerful, superb torque, economical (for a large engine) and most importantly keep low thermal temperatures even when supercharged. We have personally completed many of these conversions in addition to offering engine management systems to those that have completed the install themselves.
4 Cylinder - 1.8 20v Supercharged
Even though the 20 valve 1.8 litre VW Group engine has been around for quite a few years, it still remains a cheap, reliable, smooth, quiet, powerful and economical engine. Although the majority come with a turbo, we prefer to remove the turbo and mount on our supercharger kit to produce an infinitely drivable car free of lag and traction loss.
4 & 6 Cylinder FSI Technology
We are currently developing standalone engine management systems to run the new range of VW Group FSI engines in which ever platform of car you care to install the engines. We have our own 4 cylinder 2.0 litre and 6 cylinder 3.x litre VR6 FSI engines that we are moving nearer to completion every day.
We at Storm Developments spend countless hours developing solutions for getting the latest engine technology running in any given platform. A big part of this is developing our own standalone engine management systems.
We can offer standalone engine management systems and mapping for a multitude of engines and cars, please contact us for any requirements you might have. Our standalone engine management systems are individually designed and constructed to match the specification of your engine and not a generic one size fits all solution. Not to be confused with inferior and often more expensive products on the market.
This part of the site is currently under development as of Oct 07.
