The 16 valve 2.0t FSI engines, the latest generation of R engines are quite simply stunning engineering with results to match.

FSI Introduction
FSI employs the principal of directly injecting fuel into the combustion chamber at a very high pressure. Precise control of both the quantity of fuel being injected and the fuel spray pattern being used brings the petrol engine closer in line wth the modern diesel engine.

The benefits of FSI are better performance, increased fuel efficiency and lower emissions compared to non-FSI equivalents. Most importantly FSI engines produce more power than their equivalent predecessors.
